ELARA - Chihuahua and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Richmond, California

ELARA

Chihuahua, Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Richmond, California
August 13th
female, small, adult

DESCRIPTION

Elara is a gentle, mellow girl who may take a little time to feel comfortable, but once she does, she'll happily lean into you and settle right by your side. She's a sweet lap dog with a low-key personality and is motivated by affection.

Elara is housetrained, crate trained, and leash trained, and she can be left alone for 4-6 hours. She does well with other dogs and would do best with dog-savvy children ages 13+. She is still working on socializing with people, so she'll need a patient adopter willing to let her build confidence at her own pace.

Elara also has a heart murmur, so her adopter should be prepared to follow up with their veterinarian about her ongoing care. This special girl has so much love to give-she just needs someone willing to earn her trust and show her that the world is a safe place.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
