Janet Jackson - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Ramona, California

Janet Jackson was brought to the San Diego Humane Society with 8 other dogs after their owner passed away. The shelter reached out on their behalf, and we welcomed them all as Frosted Faces on April 20th.

Janet Jackson is 14 years old and weighs 12 lbs. She is very sweet, quiet, and has the cutest waddle walk! Janet does well around cats, gets along with dogs, and if you're looking for a dinner date to join you at a restaurant, she is a very well-behaved (and totally adorable) choice!

Janet Jackson enjoyed an extended Frosted Fling with a loving foster family while we learned all about her in a home environment. Her foster mom shares:

"Sweet Pup Alert!! Janet is ready for her forever home! She is shy at first but becomes very attached when she feels safe. She responds to Jan-Jan and is an easy, low-maintenance girl who does well with my two dogs and two cats.

Janet does the cutest dance when excited, and loves the positive affirmations of, "You're a pretty girl!" and, "Such a good girl!" She will paw you with one paw if you stop scratching and lift two paws to initiate the need for love.

Janet likes to go on short strolls. She enjoys sniffing the grass and being in the sunshine. She always respectful and well-behaved when we encounter other dogs. She'll sniff a bit and then mind her own business.

Janet can go up and down one stair at a time and needs to be carried up and down the stairs in the house. She would probably benefit from being in a one-story home with carpet or carpets around the house. When home alone, she mostly sleeps and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety.

Janet sleeps through the night and does well in the car. She joined me on the last day of school, and my fourth graders gave her endless attention. She's also been to restaurants and the homes of family and friends. We also attended a FF event in Rancho Bernardo. She does great everywhere she goes with everyone she meets!
