Alphonso - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Ramona, California

Alphonso entered crowded Downey Shelter as a stray, and when he wasn't claimed during the required hold period, he soon became at risk for euthanasia. Shelter staff reached out for a safe exit for him, and we welcomed Alphonso as a Frosted Face on July 23rd. He is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs just 6.5 lbs.

Alphonso is sweet, gentle, and affectionate boy who does well around other dogs, takes treats gently, and gives soft kisses. He walks so nicely on leash and enjoys casual strolls. Alphonso is a gem!
