What my friends at OHS say about me:
I have been working with the Behavior and Training team here at OHS for consistency and am looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. You'll need to meet with me multiple times before taking me home.
To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.
Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
I am a sweet and sensitive lad who takes a little time to build trust and make friends.
I like to make my way through life at a slower pace: short walks, lots of naps, and savoring tasty food.
My dream is to be your ultimate couch companion! But I might follow you around every now and again just to see what's going on.
I am still learning how to walk on leash, especially in new environments that can be overwhelming. I need verbal encouragement, patience and of course treats from you to help me!
The type of home I'm looking for:
I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
I may do best in a home where there is another dog to help boost my confidence.
I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted.
Loud noises and unpredictable movements can make me uncomfortable, I would do best in a home with calm, older children.
It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process.
