Meet Jupiter, a tiny 9-pound Chihuahua with big “main character” energy and a serious appreciation for the finer things in life: sunny yard naps, tasty snacks, cozy dog beds, and—if available—your bed. Jupiter is a low-key little comedian who may be shy at first, but once she decides you are part of her inner circle, she is all about cuddles, being picked up for some loving, and supervising TV time from the couch.

Her daily schedule is delightfully relaxed. Jupiter enjoys spending time with other pups at doggy daycare, though she is more likely to stroll around the yard collecting sunshine than lead a wild game of chase. She likes toys, gets along well with dogs, and would be happy to have a friendly canine companion.

At home, her perfect evening includes dinner, a potty break, a cozy spot to lounge, and then bedtime in her crate with her little bed.

Jupiter is potty trained, generally quiet, and does well with kids and other dogs. She avoids the resident cat rather than trying to start any drama. New people, loud noises, and big cars can make her nervous, so she is looking for a calm home with patient people, a secure yard, and preferably quieter streets for walks (no busy apartment dwellings like downtown). Give this silly little sunbather time to warm up, and you will gain a sweet, snuggly sidekick with excellent taste in naps and maximum cuddle potential.

Jupiter is part of a bonded pair. She and her sister Luna were abandoned, but they never gave up on life or on each other. These two bonded sisters are inseparable and unforgettable, and they are looking for a home where they can be adopted together.

Once your application has been received, a member of our team will contact you to schedule a phone interview and if approved, a meet-and-greet. This process can take up to 10 days as we are volunteer run.
