DESCRIPTION
Meet Morano!
Morano is a handsome, brindle Chihuahua estimated to be around 4 years old. He came to us when his previous owner could no longer care for him, through no fault of his own.
Morano is a shy and sensitive little guy who will thrive with a patient, understanding adopter willing to give him the time and space he needs to settle in and build trust. He’s already making progress with us, slowly warming up and accepting gentle pets. While he enjoys his independence, he’s beginning to show his sweet side. According to his previous owner, Morano is housebroken!
He would do best in a home with adults or children ages 12 and older who can understand and respect his boundaries while he gains confidence in his new environment. With patience and kindness, Morano has the potential to become a wonderful companion! He has the potential to live with another dog but would prefer an independent/indifferent dog to co-exist with. A meet and greet with other dogs in the home would take place at the shelter to ensure it is a good match. Morano has the potential to live with cats with slow, proper introductions.
Morano is available now! He will need to be in our Foster-to-Adopt program while he awaits his upcoming neuter procedure, but would do well decompressing in a home throughout that time.
The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
