Aldridge - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Muskegon, Michigan

Hi, I'm Aldridge. Earlier this summer, I was found in a single house with 134 other dogs. Eighteen of us were then brought to Big Lake Humane Society as part of a nationwide rescue effort led by Animal Rescue Corps. Because of the conditions we endured in that situation, we do not know what it's like to be a companion dog. Now that we are safe and carefully looked after by loving people with lots of patience, we are slowly learning to relax into a better way of life for ourselves as companion dogs. We desperately needed this chance to shine.

Anyone interested in us should know that most of us are flight risks. A fenced-in yard is preferred, as well as a preparedness to handle our tendencies to bolt. It would be ideal for there to be at least one other dog in our forever homes, to mentor us in the "Ways of Dogging with Humans" as we are all accustomed to being around other dogs. They will be able to help us learn basics, like walking on leash, going outside and helping us understand our new human families.

I am looking for some one who knows that good things come to those who wait. With time, patience and love, I will be the best little Furiend you ever had!
