Leo- Only 25 pounds and soooo smart. - Chihuahua and Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Marion, Texas

Leo's journey began when he, his two brothers, and their mom, Sunny, were discovered abandoned in a crate along a remote road. Thankfully, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan stepped in and reached out for help, giving this little family a second chance at life.

Born on 3/8/26, Leo is thriving and ready to find a forever home of his own. He currently weighs 25 pounds. DNA testing from one of his brothers revealed that mom is a Chihuahua/Poodle mix, while dad was an Australian Shepherd/Shepherd mix. Based on his current size and growth, we expect Leo to mature to approximately 30 pounds.

Leo is a happy-go-lucky puppy with a playful, adventurous spirit. He loves romping around with his brother and foster siblings and is often one of the first to invite the bigger dogs to play. Whether he's chasing toys, exploring the yard, or showing off his zoomies, Leo approaches life with enthusiasm and joy.

Because he's still a young puppy, Leo is looking for a family committed to providing the training, guidance, and enrichment he needs to grow into a well-rounded adult dog. He would do best in an active home with children who are old enough to respectfully interact with a puppy. A fenced yard would be ideal, as Leo loves spending time outdoors and burning off his puppy energy. Leo is not apartment material. He loves being off leash and getting his zoomies out.

Leo currently enjoys keeping an eye on the barn cats and lets them know he's there with a bark or two, so a home without cats may be the best fit. He could be an only dog with a family that can devote plenty of time and attention to him, or with another dog-friendly dog who would enjoy having an energetic young companion.

Leo is fully vetted, microchipped, and receiving monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Based in Texas, we adopt to multiple states and work with trusted transport partners to safely bring our dogs to their forever homes. Our priority is always finding the very best match for each puppy.
