Chile - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Marfa, Texas

Chile is a fabulous seven month old chi mix currently in foster care in Marathon, Texas. She is a tiny professional snuggler with a big personality! Chile may be the most enthusiastic passenger you’ll ever meet. She absolutely loves being carried, whether tucked into your arms, riding in a sling, or enjoying a backpack adventure. She is so relaxed when she’s being carried that she may even nod off while taking in the world from her cozy perch. Her philosophy seems to be: why walk when someone can carry you?

And when all that sightseeing gets her excited, Chile’s silly side comes out. She’ll spin in happy little circles when she’s feeling playful and loves tossing around small, soft toys. She isn’t a big barker, either, preferring the occasional soft woof when something catches her attention. Chile is incredibly affectionate and thrives on touch. She is happy being cuddled by people and would likely enjoy having other friendly pets around, too. She has a sweet, playful nature and doesn’t seem to have a cranky bone in her body. Having confident animal companions may also help her feel more secure as she continues to discover the world.

Chile is still working on her house training and is learning to feel comfortable walking on a leash. She may fuss for the first few minutes in her crate but settles with time. Chile has come a long way from the sad, fragile-looking puppy who first arrived in foster care. Her delightful personality emerged almost immediately, revealing an affectionate, curious, outgoing, and wonderfully silly little dog. She’s looking for a home where there will be plenty of love, plenty of snuggles, and preferably someone who doesn’t mind having a tiny travel companion along for the ride!
