Spunky - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Lucedale, Mississippi

Spunky lives up to his name, this little pint sized peanut will steal your heart. His best friend in the whole wide world is a kitten named Zinnia. She came into the rescue with an eye infection that caused her to be away from other cats. Her and Spunk have the best little friendship.

Spunky is great with cats, other dogs and loves, loves, loves toys. He has a habit of stealing Zinnia's toys and collecting them with his. He enjoys going out with Matt, his foster dad, into Tractor Supply to do "manly shopping" and loves to be told how adorable he is from the staff and other shoppers.

He may or may not think he's a cat, he crawls up into a cat hammock to nap. Their foster had hoped we could keep this pair together. We said we would try. If there is a special home that would be open to adopting Spunky with his kitten sister, Zinnia, we would love that. If the perfect home came along for Spunky by himself, we will consider splitting them up.

He is looking for a home without toddlers.
He has been using puppy pads in his foster home.
As of 7/29 he is 4 months old.

Adoption fee is $700 which includes transport.

Our animals are currently residing in a foster home in South Mississippi. We only transport them once adopted.

WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks.
We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
