There's something magical about Matilda—and were pretty sure someone accidentally sprinkled a little extra spunk, silliness, and sparkle into this girl!

Matilda is pure entertainment wrapped up in one adorable package. She has a talent for keeping everyone around her laughing, and her signature style of play is something you really have to see to believe. Imagine a pogo stick crossed with a trampoline...and then add four paws!

This girl doesn't just run when she's excited—she BOUNCES! Up, down, around and back again, Matilda approaches life like every day is the greatest adventure she's ever been invited on.

She's full of energy and always ready for fun, but even magical pups eventually run out of batteries. When Matilda finally powers down, you'll find her happily curled up in her bed, usually with a favorite toy tucked securely in her mouth, recharging for whatever tomorrow might bring.

All dogs typically show on Saturdays from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Petco in Clear Lake at 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center. Since all our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please send an email to scpdogworld@gmail.com so that the Dog Coordinator can let you know if the dog will be at the Saturday Adoption Event at Petco. If you just want to meet some great dogs looking for their forever home, please come visit with us on Saturday! The adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $210 (or $270 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
