Meet Jimmy & Jasper

Jimmy and Jasper are adorable 5-year-old Chihuahua mixes, weighing about 14 pounds each. These sweet boys came to us from a shelter in California, where we were able to save them on their very last day.

Getting to Know Them

Jimmy and Jasper are currently in our Pups on Parole program, where theyre receiving socialization, learning to trust, and building confidence. Theyre still a little shy, so the most important thing they need is simply time.

When they first arrived, I gave them space to settle in. I didnt try to pick them up or force them to interact. Instead, I let them move at their own pace and decide when they were ready.

Because my backyard is very secure, I let them explore outside and go potty. When it was time to come back inside, I called them—and they came right back in!
