Asphalt is an adventurous little guy! Don't be the one to try to tell him that little dogs don't do big dog things. He is always eager to join the guys on the walks, is a blast to train, and believes in balancing his work with equal enthusiasm for play.
At only 6 lbs, Asphalt rewrites expectations of small dogs solely being purse dogs. He joins in on the walks and is a good partner to strut with. The youth are perfecting his leash manners, and he continues to learn more each day. He is, however, still very much ok with being catered to when the time is right. (He even trained some of the youth to wear the sling during chore time so he could stick right by them.)
Due to his small stature, Asphalt is looking for an adopter who will respect his autonomy and get consent before attempting to pick him up or leash him. He needs someone who will give him time to warm up and get comfortable in his new environment. If you are willing to do that, he will be your best friend!
If you're looking for a pint-sized dog to show up big dogs in the trick department, Asphalt could be a great fit for you. He is incredibly treat motivated and learns quickly. He's been working on adding to his trick list while at POOCH and would love to show them off to you!
