Astro (Mya Artemis Litter) - Chihuahua and Dachshund Dog for Adoption in Gillsville, Georgia

Meet Astro. This little star and his three siblings were born on April Fools' Day — proof that God has a sense of humor. Their mom, Mya, was dumped on a dirt road with two other small females, likely her sisters. Thankfully, a kind family found them before anything could happen. Another wonderful family gave Mya a safe birthing room, and a few days later, Astro arrived.

Now, two months later, Astro has had his first two rounds of puppy boosters and is ready to find his forever family. His adoption fee includes remaining vaccines, microchip, and neuter at 6 months. He currently weighs 5 lbs, and with mom at 15 lbs, we expect him to stay small.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.
