Just look at that face. Look at those eyes. If those eyes could talk, we think Oliver would be saying, **Please rescue me and give me a second chance at life.**
Oliver arrived at ARF after being rescued from a kill shelter in Fresno, where he was at risk of euthanasia. He came to us with another sweet dog named Dusty, who will be featured on our website shortly. We are so grateful we were able to give both boys a chance.
We believe Oliver is a **Chihuahua mix, approximately 6 years old**. That puts him in our senior adoption category, making his adoption fee just **$150**. But please don't let the word senior fool you! Six years old certainly does not mean Oliver is done living. He still has plenty of wonderful years ahead of him, and he has so much love left to give.
Oliver is the sweetest little boy you could ever meet. He absolutely **loves being loved on**. He wants to be held, spoiled, cuddled, and told what a good boy he is. And honestly, we think he deserves every bit of it.
He is hoping for a family who will love him unconditionally, because that is exactly what Oliver will give you in return. We can picture him becoming your little shadow and your very best friend — waiting at the door for you when you come home and greeting you like the celebrity he believes you are.
Oliver isn't asking for much. He simply wants a place to call home, someone to love him, and a family willing to make him a **forever commitment**.
There are a few things potential adopters should know. We don't know if Oliver is housebroken, so for now, we recommend assuming that he is **not**. We also don't know whether he was previously allowed on furniture or what kind of rules he had in his former life. Please consider these things carefully before making the commitment to adopt. He deserves a family prepared to give him patience, guidance, and time as he learns what life in a loving home is supposed to be like.
And can we talk about those beautiful colors? His rich chocolate coat with white markings reminds us of **chocolate with marshmallows — sweet, comforting, and completely satisfying.** And that is Oliver in a nutshell: **sweetness wrapped in a little chocolate-colored package.**
