Meet Buddy — The Little Bobtail With a BIG Personality!
If you're looking for a little dog with a whole lot of personality, Buddy might just be your guy! This adorable Chihuahua mix is a daily dose of entertainment, complete with his signature little tail-less booty wiggle, bounce, and jump that will have you smiling in no time. Seriously, that bum deserves its own fan club!
Buddy is affectionate, confident, playful, and always ready for his next adventure. His favourite things? BALLS, WALKS, FOOD, AND SNUGGLES. In that order... maybe. He loves a good game of fetch (he brings the ball back about 75% of the time, depending on whether he can find it again ), enjoys chasing toys around the house, and will absolutely let you know if you're taking too long to throw the ball!
A gentleman on the leash! Buddy is a fantastic walking companion who gets excited when he sees his harness. He walks beautifully without pulling and is happy to stroll along with minimal sniffing. He's also house-trained, knows sit and come, rides well in the truck, and is very eager to please. Talk about a little overachiever!
Buddy's softer side: Once he's comfortable, this boy loves affection. At bedtime, he tucks himself right into the blankets with his people and settles in for a cozy night's sleep. He's learning to trust, building friendships, and showing more of his wonderful personality every day.
Buddy can happily coexist with cats and currently ignores his foster family's cat-savvy kitties. Buddy gets along with other dogs and would do best with calm, respectful canine friends who understand personal space. He appreciates polite introductions and prefers dogs who won’t get right up in his face. With a little respect for his boundaries, Buddy is happy to share his space with other four-legged friends! He's also friendly with new people he meets on walks and is always happy to accept pets from his new admirers!
Buddy's dream home: An active home that will keep his mind and body busy with walks, games of fetch, toys, and plenty of love. He can settle when left alone and has done well for up to four hours. He's still working on becoming comfortable with having his feet handled for nail trims, but hey, nobody's perfect!
Buddy has so much love and laughter to bring to his future family. He's the perfect mix of playful adventure buddy and blanket-burrowing snuggle bug. All he needs now is someone to throw the ball, fill the food bowl, and save him a cozy spot in bed.
