DESCRIPTION
Jan is a sweet, affectionate puppy who loves being close to her people. Whether she's snuggled beside you on the couch or curled up in your lap, she's happiest by your side. Like any puppy, she enjoys toys, gets the cutest zoomies, and is still learning that fingers aren't chew toys!
She sleeps through the night in her crate without accidents and sees her crate as her safe place. She's doing well with pee pads and is beginning to gain confidence exploring the outdoors on a leash.
Jan enjoys playing with her canine foster sibling and is slowly becoming more comfortable around the foster kitten. She is still discovering the world and just needs a patient family to continue building her confidence through new experiences.
With love, encouragement, and continued socialization, Jan will grow into a wonderful, loyal companion.
Jan is one year old and weighs about 8 pounds.
All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.

ABOUT: CHIHUAHUA DOG BREED
The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
