Calista is a 7-year-old Chihuahua mix with a quiet, gentle spirit and a story of resilience. She was rescued from a hoarding situation where life was overwhelming and human contact was scarce, so it's no surprise that she can be fearful and a little standoffish with people.

Calista finds comfort in what she knows best, other dogs. They help her feel safe and bring out the soft, sweet side of her personality. Watching her relax and follow their lead is truly special.

With patience, kindness, and time, we've begun to earn Calista's trust, and every small step she takes toward love feels like a huge victory.

Calista is looking for a calm, patient home that will let her move at her own pace. A home with another friendly dog would be a dream for her.
