DESCRIPTION
Meet Canela!
Canela is 4 years old and just 16 lbs, and the first years of her life were nothing like what a dog deserves. She came from a horrible hoarding situation, where she lived without the security, individual attention, and love that should have been hers from the beginning.
Understandably, Canela needs a little time to realize shes safe. New places and new people can be overwhelming at first, and it can take her a few hours to settle in and let her guard down. She would thrive in a quiet, lower-chaos home with an experienced—or simply patient and understanding—person willing to let her adjust at her own pace.
Canela is fully vetted, spayed, and ready for her new life. She is currently in Puerto Rico and will be brought to the States as soon as a foster or adoptive home is found. Her transport is included in her adoption fee.
Shes spent four years learning that the world can be scary. Were hoping someone will finally teach Canela what it feels like to be safe, chosen, and loved for the rest of her life.
