Meet Taco

Taco is a senior Chihuahua weighing just 6.5 pounds, but his heart is much bigger than his size suggests. He adores everyone he meets—even if he puts on a tough “guard dog” act when spotting people through the fence. Once up close, his nonstop tail wags and sweet personality give him away. Taco loves handing out puppy kisses, even though his puppy days are long behind him.

Because he is a tiny little old man, very young children are not recommended as he can be easily injured unintentionally. Older kiddos familiar with small dogs recommended.

He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats and has a gentle, social nature. Taco would especially love to head to his forever home with his brother, Budda, if you're open to a set of sweet little guys. The two came into the rescue’s care after their beloved momma passed away.

There is still so much love left in this little old man. Taco would be happiest curled up in someone’s lap, soaking up affection and companionship. If you’re looking for a devoted lap buddy—or two—Taco is ready to fill your home with love.

Adoption fee: $250 (if adopted with his brother, Budda, the fee for both would only be $350)
