Chihuahua Dogs Available for Adoption in Burlingame, California

So nice to meet you, I'm Higgins! I'm a 2 year old, 9lbs., neutered male Chihuahua mix. I'm a sweet and gentle little guy that has a wee bit of anxiety, I mean who doesn't in this day and age! I do love company though, so being in the same room as my person all the time would be a dream! I am a young guy who, once I feel comfortable, has lots of energy and is ready to go on Snifari's, explore or just run around in the back yard. Did I tell you I'm also super smart? I already know 'Sit' and the volunteers say it is a very good sit indeed! Because I can be a bit anxious, I would love to go home to a family with adults only, or dog savvy teens. Before going officially home with you, I would love to meet everyone in the household, including any resident dogs. I'm so excited to get to know you!

You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
