Tater - Chihuahua and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Buffalo, Minnesota

Location: Eagan, MN

Hi hi hi!! I'm Tater, your future bestie, professional toy destroyer, and part-time landshark! I'm a teeny tiny puppy, and FULL of personality. I love playing with my toys, exploring outside, and getting all the cuddles I can possibly fit into my day. My foster mom says I'm the more rambunctious one, but I so much love to give.

I'm still working on my potty training and learning that fingers and toes are NOT chew toys (rude, I know), but my foster mom is helping me learn to redirect my puppy bites to my toys. I'm a very smart, food-motivated little guy, so treats are definitely the way to my heart!

I'm also VERY interested in becoming best friends with my foster mom's resident cat. They haven't quite realized how amazing I am yet, but I'm working on it.

At bedtime, I do great in my crate with my brother, where we snuggle up together all night. I haven't tried sleeping alone yet, but honestly, my dream is to be your little bed buddy.

Because I'm SO little, I have ramps to safely get on and off the couch to protect my tiny body. I could potentially do well in a family with respectful children, but because I'm still learning not to nip and I'm so teeny tiny, I'll need gentle handling and supervision around little ones.

If you're looking for a tiny best friend who will make you laugh, keep you entertained, and then melt into your arms for a cuddle, I might just be your guy.

Love,
Tater

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
