AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.
Meet Piper! Piper is a 10-12 year old female chihuahua and she weighs about 6 pounds. Piper arrived in rescue after being abandoned with a large mass on her stomach. It was successfully removed and she has healed up great and is thriving in her foster home. Her foster mom says: Piper is a very sweet, affectionate girl. She’s the kind of girl that forms a strong bond with her human. Work from home? Prop a pet bed next to your desk and she will hang there all day with you. Piper enjoys her toys and is great at entertaining herself, but her true happiness comes from being with her human. She loves mealtime and treat time (they’re definitely highlights of her day!), and she may give you her best “I’m starving” eyes if you’re eating—her previous home likely shared a few too many bites with her. She walks nicely on a harness and leash and does “okay” around other dogs, she has her moments where she doesn’t mind sharing her space with furry four legged pups but she would really prefer to be your one-and-only so she can soak up all the love and attention. Piper’s favorite place to sleep is in bed with you, tucked under the covers. Piper is still working on house training, and she’s making progress with a routine of going outside every 3–4 hours. Because of this, she would do best in a home where someone is around more often than not to help her continue learning and stay on track. A fun (and adorable) Piper quirk: once she bonds with you, she may “borrow” your shoes—not to chew them, but to sleep with them! She’ll carefully carry them to her bed (or even sneak them into yours) just to feel close to you. It’s her unique little way of showing love. Piper would thrive in a patient, loving home where she can be someone’s loyal companion and constant shadow. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will adore you Piper might just be your perfect match.
Piper is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned.
Piper is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $275.
