Chihuahua and Shih Tzu Dogs Available for Adoption in Kitchener, Ontario

Shadow is a true chihuahua. He's feisty, bonds fiercely and he's convinced he's a large breed dog trapped his tiny frame. He has so much personality and is incredibly affectionate. His favourite thing to do at the end of the day (or really, anytime of day) is go under the covers and slide down to your feet where he curls up to sleep. He absolutely loves belly rubs in the morning and will wiggle walk all over you to demand them! Like many small breeds, Shadow acts more confident than he is and could benefit from training and confidence building exercises with his new family. He loves his walks and already has an adorable wardrobe!

As a true chi, Shadow is a bit suspicious and would do best in a house as he can be vocal. He would love a canine buddy to run and roughhouse with! He plays hard with the resident small dog and loves playing chase. He is not a fan of cats and will follow them around barking.

Shadow lives in a foster home with a 4 year old child and would rather not live with a little kid. He thinks she is too noisy and unpredictable, as are most children. He does enjoy playing with them while supervised but likes his space.

His house training needs some work as he is not a fan of going outside in rain or cold but will go with some coaxing. He wears a belly band well and we're hoping to use the summer to solidify his housetraining habits.
