Chihuahua and Schipperke Dogs Available for Adoption

Jazzy is happy go lucky, sweet and playful girl, with a stunningly, unique look and friendly demeanor. She is full grown at 20lbs, but looks like a mini shepherd mix, though we think she is part chihuahua and some sort of super-mutt! She is around 1-2 years old, is fairly quiet and has a nice, mellow side mixed with age appropriate energy. She was found stray, without microchip and landed in a high kill shelter. We were happy to welcome this deserving girl into rescue. She has a fun energy, is good with dogs of all sizes, and enjoys human attention and playing with toys!!

-great with other dogs in her foster home
-likes to be around people, loves to be pet
-potty trained in her foster’s routine
-does well on leash
-working on crate training and is doing well, but also does well in a gated area
-smart girl
-not a big barker
-enjoys toys, treats and chew bones
-enjoys lounging in the yard and on her dog bed as well as playtime in the yard
-will make a great companion, and a great walking/hiking buddy to a lucky family
-does well so far on car rides to her vet appointments
-did well for her grooming/bath
-is up to date on vaccines, spayed, dewormed, is on flea and tick preventatives

Though they are small in size, Schipperkes have a big personality and require plenty of mental stimulation to keep them engaged. With proper training and socialization, the Schipperke can make a wonderful family pet for active households.
