Meet Rex!

Rex is a 1 year old Chihuahua mix weighing around 13 pounds, and this handsome little guy is as adorable as they come. With his solid black coat and sweet expression, he turns heads everywhere he goes — but it’s his incredible personality that truly steals hearts.

Rex was sadly found as a stray and, unbelievably, nobody ever came looking for him. We honestly can’t understand how, because this boy is truly such a gem. He is incredibly affectionate, lovable, and friendly, with a much more outgoing personality than your typical Chihuahua. Rex loves people, enjoys attention, and has such a happy, loving nature that makes him an instant favorite with everyone he meets.

He’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of the family and included in everyday life. Whether he’s cuddling beside you, following you around the house, or soaking up affection, Rex is happiest when he’s close to his people.

Rex does well with other dogs, though he definitely likes to be the dominant male of the group. Because of this, he would do best with female dogs or more submissive male dogs who are happy to let him take the lead. He also does well with cats.

He is crate trained and sleeps quietly in his crate at night. Rex is still working on house training, but he’s doing a really good job and continues to improve with consistency and routine. He also knows how to use potty pads, which has helped him transition nicely in his foster home.

Overall, Rex is just an incredibly sweet, loving little dog who is going to make a wonderful companion for a lucky family. Rex is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and will come with a health certificate prior to adoption.
