Maeve - Cattle Dog and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Thornton, Colorado
MAEVE
Cattle Dog, Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Thornton, Colorado
August 29th
female, medium, young
DESCRIPTION
Maeve is a gorgeous 1 yr old Cattle Dog mix that needs a very special home
Maeve is unfortunately very shy and needs a very patient family to help her be the confident pup she’s meant to be
Originally surrendered with her siblings to a rural TX animal control, Maeve was rescued almost a year ago now
She’s had 2 phenomenal fosters and she started to warm up but never came out of her shell
Now with a team member that has a busy home and a doggy daycare Maeve is doing much better
Still a little shy, Maeve is very dog friendly and definitely needs at least 1-2 other dogs to play with - she has no reactivity to cats
She will go in her crate easily but doesn’t like to come back out with people around
She has a lot of fear and it can cause excess pottying - she needs work on this but as her fears subside this should as well
She loves children but small toddlers need to be supervised.
Maeve is spayed, chipped and utd on her vax

ABOUT: CATTLE DOG DOG BREED
The Cattle Dog is a diligent and robust herding breed known for its agility, intelligence, and hardworking nature. Originating in Australia, Cattle Dogs are highly energetic and require ample exercise and mental stimulation. With their remarkable problem solving skills and unwavering loyalty, they excel in various canine activities and make excellent companions for active owners. Their distinctive blue or red coat, sturdy build, and alert expression reflect their heritage as versatile working dogs.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
