Sometimes, all it takes is one chance to change a life. Asher came to NAWS all the way from Southern Illinois to avoid euthanasia, and now this handsome young man is hoping his second chance leads him straight into the arms of a family of his own.

At just 2 years old and around 45 pounds, Asher is the perfect size for just about any adventure. But fair warning: once you meet him, you might never want to let him go!

This sweet boy absolutely LOVES hugs. Seriously, get him in your arms and he’ll happily stay there as long as you’ll let him. He’s the perfect combination of cuddly and playful, ready to soak up affection one minute and have fun with you the next.

And the best part? Asher has so much love to share with everyone! He’s great with other dogs, gentle with kitties, and wonderful with kids. He’s got the kind of loving personality that makes you wonder how someone hasn’t scooped him up already.

Asher’s journey to NAWS gave him the chance to live, but now we’re hoping to find him something even better: a family to love, a home to call his own, and all the hugs his heart desires.

He’s already proven he’s a survivor. Now it’s time for him to be someone’s beloved companion.
