Wade - Cattle Dog Dog for Adoption in Houston, Texas

Meet Wade: The Comeback Kid with a Heart of Gold!

Breed: Cattle Dog Mix (best guess)
Age: 9 months
Weight: 47 lbs
Location: Houston (transport included in fee)

If resilience had a name, it would be Wade! This handsome, goofy boy was found as a stray suffering from a gruesome open wound on his leg and ended up on a Houston shelter’s euthanasia list. But that’s all in the past! His leg is healing beautifully, he’s feeling great, and he is officially ready to roll right into his forever home.

Despite his tough start, Wade hasn't lost an ounce of his joy. He is bursting with that classic "big ol' puppy energy" and is absolutely thrilled about life. He is highly food-motivated, loves his treats, and is incredibly eager to learn. In fact, his favorite trick is showing off his perfect "sit" just to prove what a very good boy he is! Because he loves training so much, he will thrive with an adopter who wants to continue teaching him new tricks and skills.

Wade’s Ideal Home:

An Active Family: This sporty Cattle Dog mix would love a family that enjoys walks, hikes, and staying active.

Older Kids: Because he’s still very much a big, bouncy puppy who gets excited and can be a little jumpy, a home with older, dog-savvy kids is the best fit so he doesn't accidentally knock any little ones over.

Wade survived the odds and is just looking for a family to share his massive heart with. Could that be you?

Out-of-state adoption transport is fully included in his adoption fee.
