Hello, I'm Sammy... and I'll admit, the shelter has me quite overwhelmed. It's loud, busy, and I'm still trying to figure it all out. But underneath all that nervousness? I'm really an amazing girl, I promise. Once I'm out of this environment and given a chance to breath, I really shine. I love my people, I love treats, and I really love giving kisses - they're kinda my specialty.
Sometimes when I'm unsure about things or making sure you're only gentle hands, I will do appeasement behaviors - like a little smile - to show I mean well. I need someone who is going to be patient with me and understand I'm trying my best. I'd love someone who knows how to ready body language to help me thrive to the best of my abilities. I just need someone to take a chance and believe in me.
