Dennis - Catahoula Leopard Dog Dog for Adoption in Roswell, Georgia

Meet Dennis — a smart, adorably goofy Catahoula/Hound mix, born in October 2024, and weighing about 35 pounds. Dennis came from a heartbreaking situation and was owner surrendered in Floyd County after spending his entire young life living outdoors in a pen with several other dogs. His previous owners hadn’t given him a name, and he'd had very little positive interaction with humans.

Because of his past, Dennis may be shy when you first meet him. But don’t let that quiet introduction fool you! Give this sweet boy a few days to feel safe and settle in, and you’ll get to see the affectionate, playful, wonderfully goofy dog hiding underneath. Once Dennis trusts you, he transforms into a devoted best friend—and one of the sweetest snugglers you could ever hope for!

Dennis absolutely loves other dogs and needs a home with one or more tolerant canine companions who will enjoy having an enthusiastic little brother tagging along! He loves to play, wants to be part of the fun, and seems happiest when he has canine friends to show him the ropes. He loves car rides, and is an extremely gifted canine athlete - - his impressive vertical jump means his new home will need a securely fenced yard with a 6-foot privacy fence. An active, patient and loving home with older children could be a wonderful fit for this adorable, young boy!

Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.
