Rita, a beautiful Catahoula Leopard Dog / Hound mix, approximately 2–3 months old.

Rita is one of those puppies whose life could have ended before it ever really began. She was dumped in the woods together with her entire family and left there to survive. No food, no safety, no idea what would happen next.

But sometimes miracles happen, and kind people become angels for animals who have no one else. Rita and her family were found and rescued, and this sweet little girl was given her chance at a completely different life.

Today Rita is a happy, playful, curious puppy who has no idea how close she came to never having a future. Now all she needs is the final piece of her story: a family of her very own.
