DESCRIPTION

If you're looking for a puppy that's equal parts brains, athleticism, cuddles, and just enough chaos to keep life entertaining... allow us to introduce Asher.

Asher is an Australian Shepherd, Catahoula Leopard Dog, and Border Collie mix born on April 3, 2026. He also happens to be deaf, but trust us, he probably pays better attention than most dogs with perfect hearing.

This handsome guy is outgoing, incredibly smart, and just the right amount of goofy. He loves to learn, loves to play, and when his battery finally runs out, he'll seek out his favorite human to lean against for a well-earned nap. Physical touch is his love language, so expect plenty of gentle nudges, leans, and puppy kisses. He's well on his way to becoming the ultimate velcro dog.

Because Asher is deaf, he communicates through hand signals, body language, and watching both people and other dogs. He is always paying attention and is genuinely excited to learn something new.

Asher already knows:

🐾 Crate training
🐾 Potty training
🐾 Dog door manners
🐾 Walking on a leash
🐾 Hand signal commands including No, Come, Potty, and Sit

His training currently includes a vibration collar, flashlight cues, and the occasional spray bottle interruption when he decides puppy logic is superior to human logic. Most importantly, Asher thrives on consistency and routine.

He loves playing with other dogs that match his energy level but is also respectful of dogs who aren't interested in puppy shenanigans. He's learned to read their boundaries remarkably well.

Now... let's talk about his one tiny character flaw.

Asher firmly believes that if there's a fence, there must be something more exciting on the other side. He's definitely a "the grass is greener" kind of guy, so he'll need a very secure fenced yard if he'll be off leash.

With his Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, and Catahoula genetics comes a healthy prey drive. Chasing moving things sounds like a fantastic hobby to him, so we'd recommend a home without poultry or small animals. He hasn't been around cats, although we suspect a confident cat might quickly convince him to mind his own business. Because he's still an enthusiastic puppy with very little regard for personal space, we'd also recommend a home without young children (approximately ages 2 to 6).

Like many puppies, Asher occasionally decides sticks, bark, or random yard treasures should be on the menu. Thankfully, he's gotten very good at responding to his "No" command and happily drops his latest culinary discovery, even from a distance.

Asher isn't looking for just any home. He's looking for someone willing to continue investing in his training throughout his first year. He's incredibly intelligent, confident, and independent. Those qualities can make an amazing dog... or a wonderfully creative troublemaker... depending on how much guidance he receives.

For that reason, Asher is not recommended for first-time dog owners. But for someone willing to put in the time, he is going to be an absolutely phenomenal companion. Loyal, affectionate, adventurous, and endlessly entertaining.

Asher will be neutered on July 30 and will be ready to head to his new home shortly afterward. We are accepting applications now so we can find the perfect family for this very special boy.

If you're ready for a puppy who will challenge you, make you laugh daily, and love you with his whole heart, Asher is ready to meet you. We have a feeling his future family is going to hit the jackpot.
