We truly thought Rougaroux (Roux) had found his forever w/ his foster family... but sometimes things just don't work out the way we hope. Their daughter unexpectedly moved home and had to bring her pup with her as well and three is now a crowd in a small home. Her daughters dog only tolerates Roux on her terms, and it's not fair to either of them. So, through absolutely no fault of his own, Roux is available for adoption.

And yall... he is such a fun boy. Roux is estimated to be around 2 yrs old and is Fully-vetted, Neutered, Up to date on all vaccines (including Bordetella) Heartworm negative & on preventatives. The perfect size medium boy, 43lbs Catahoula Leopard Mix Breed

About Roux
Roux is a very sweet boy whose biggest goal is to make his people happy and to make them laugh. He thrives on companionship and would do best with a buddy that loves to play (canine and/or human) he doesn't meet a stranger. Loves every pup he meets too.
Roux is Housebroken, Crate trained (will go in when asked but prefers sleeping on the bed) Loves toys & is learning to fetch. Walks well on a leash (enjoys daily walks w/ his foster mom) Great at the vet & for bath time. Roux can be a little hesitant getting into the car at first (were unsure of his past), but once he's in, he's fantastic whether it's a quick trip or even a 5-hour drive. He recently went on a 5 hr one way road trip and did amazing!

Great w/ ALL dogs & kids (just can be a little excitable at times)
Playful, loves to wrestle, but remains submissive
Has not attempted to escape a fenced yard (no digging or climbing.
Not food aggressive but may sneak a snack if given the chance (meaning do not leave food on the counter or table. The boy loves his food)
