Meet Felipa: The Pocket-Sized Texas Special!

Look, wed love to give our best guess on what breeds Felipa may be made up of, but this girl is a true "Texas Special" that has us completely stumped! What we do know for certain is that she is 100% sweet, petite, and utterly adorable.

When Felipa first entered our care three months ago, she was extremely ill and emaciated. We thought she was a little Catahoula mix pup due to the number of the breed in the immediate area she was found. Thanks to a lot of love and TLC, she has made an incredible recovery, though her rough start in life may have left her beautifully stunted in size. At 8 months old, she is a perfect "pocket dog" size—weighing around 25 lbs and standing only about a foot and a half tall at the shoulder. She hasn't grown much at all, meaning shes likely to stay this perfectly huggable size forever!

Stunning Looks: She features a gorgeous, dark blue-gray coat with striking white socks, a white chest, and a perfect white stripe down her nose. Combine that with her bright, soulful eyes and a slight, endearing underbite, and she will absolutely melt your heart.

The Ultimate Social Butterfly: Felipa is the definition of friendly! She is dog, cat, and kid approved. She adores children and plays wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, whether they are bigger than her or just as small.

The Perfect Housemate: She is already quiet in her kennel overnight. Give her some toys and a Nylabone, and she is a happy, content girl.

We work with trusted rescue transports that take great care of the fur babies and keep adopters and rescues in the loop the entire trip with dedicated group chats and Life360 tracking, so you know exactly how they are doing every step of the journey!
