Poncho - Carolina Dog and Belgian Shepherd Sheepdog Dog for Adoption in Nashville, Tennessee

Poncho is an absolute JOY of a dog! He is great with 8 lb Chihuahuas and great with 55 lb Husky/Shepherds! He has never had an accident in his kennel, and he is sooo smart-and truly just an all around very good boy! He is pretty new to us here at BR, but has been vetted and is on some meds for a skin issue he came to us with which should be cleared up with meds in just a few days!

He truly is just an all around good boy and is so so smart and would integrate in to just about any family and be a happy boy!

The Belgian Shepherd Sheepdog is a versatile and intelligent herding breed known for its exceptional work ethic and loyalty. With a striking appearance and a strong build, these dogs excel in various canine activities, including obedience, agility, and search and rescue. Their keen intelligence and trainability make them a popular choice for police and military work as well. Belgian Shepherd Sheepdogs require plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to thrive, making them ideal companions for active families or individuals looking for a devoted and hardworking canine partner.

The Carolina Dog, a primitive breed known for its wild ancestry, is a medium sized, agile, and intelligent dog originally found roaming freely in the Southeastern United States. With a distinctive appearance marked by erect ears, a bushy tail, and a sable coat, Carolina Dogs are highly adaptable, affectionate with their families, and wary of strangers, making them excellent watchdogs. Their natural hunting instincts and independence require consistent training and an active lifestyle to thrive in a loving home environment.
