Sara is from South Carolina and came to us severely underweight and heartworm positive. Despite her difficult start, she has blossomed into a sweet, energetic, and loving girl.

Sara has been patient and gentle with both cats and other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for a variety of homes. She adores her people, never turns down a good meal, and is always happy to soak up attention.

She is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and is making great progress. Sara is looking forward to finding her forever home once her treatment is complete-or even sooner if someone falls in love with her and is willing to support her through the remainder of her treatment before her adoption is finalized.
