Buddy - Cairn Terrier and Schnauzer Dog for Adoption in Zachary, Louisiana

Buddy is approximately 5 years old and weighs 15 pounds. This adorable scruffy guy has the classic wiry coat, expressive ears, and fun-loving personality of a terrier mix.

He was adopted out by the local shelter and sadly returned. We are hoping to give Buddy his second chance at a new life!

He can be held and pet, and walks beautifully on leash. He had been trained to use a doggy door with previous owners. We also know that his first adopters had another dog in the home that Buddy was able to get along with.

We think he would do well with 1 other dog in the home. With some love and patience, Buddy can be the small companion you are looking for!

Please note that the majority of our dogs require a fully fenced yard or secured area, good veterinary history and references, as well as a life-long commitment to be a great family for your pup!

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED for a new furever family we require the following:

* Adopter needs a fully secure/fenced yard.
* Experienced pet home with verifiable vet references/history preferred, but we realize that everyone has to start somewhere, so all applications will be considered.
* Verifiable good veterinary history INCLUDING regular vaccination/visits and Good Heartworm Prevention history is a MUST!
* Adopter must be able to have time to spend with the pup and be able to provide the pup a safe environment to live.
* ALL our dogs are expected to be primarily INSIDE dogs. They MUST sleep inside the home. We truly understand that some folks have working dogs (i.e. farmers, ranchers, etc); however, the majority of our dogs have had tough life prior to rescue & we wish to ensure they are showered with LUV & maybe even a bit spoiled for the rest of their lives.

Must Luv Dogs Rescue reserves the right to deny any applications that we don't think are a good fit with the pup. Our first & foremost concern is the dog's best interest. It is our MISSION to place them in a home that is a great fit for their needs for a lifetime of luv & being part of a family.

*We will consider adoptions in any area; however, will do not ship or transport a puppy under the age of 12 mos. We will ONLY transport an adult dog on a transport approved by MLD, at adopter's expense.

Please note that all of our pets are in private foster homes. In order to reduce any stress or confusion for our pups, we require a completed, approved application BEFORE setting up a meeting for any of fur-babies.
