Meet Emma!

Emma is a 10-year-old Boykin Spaniel who deserves a fresh start.

We received a call from the animal hospital about Emma after her owner, who has been grieving the loss of her husband for the past four years, felt she didn’t know what else to do after Emma had an accident and peed on the couch. She had made the heartbreaking decision to euthanize Emma, so we went to the hospital and brought her into our care instead.

Emma arrived badly matted, but underneath it all was a sweet girl who just needed some love and a second chance. We believe the difficult relationship between Emma and her owner over the years, along with the loss of her primary person, may have contributed to some of her behavior.

Like any good spaniel, Emma loves playing fetch with her ball and getting cuddles from her person. She’s ready for a home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished through her golden years.

Emma is spayed and microchipped and will be vaccinated upon adoption.
