Please meet RUBY
She’s been waiting for her people for awhile.

Ruby (a healthy and active 8 years young boxer lab cross) has found herself in a bit of a pickle. You see, Ruby is a mature, no nonsense kinda gal looking for a calm home, without busy kids. Her type of fun is cuddling with adult humans, long walks, and just enjoying a quiet little life.
So, we are looking for Ruby’s people.
Ruby is thriving at 8, more of an 8 is the new 5 kind of 8.) She is healthy, has energy and loves walks. She cannot wait for her new era.
Ruby is a little aloof and shy at first in that mysterious cool girl way.
She warms up quickly.
She has had good experiences meeting cats, and could be happy in a home with a cat.
She is sensitive to dogs yelling at her and will yell back, but has show much joy and tail wagging with meeting chill, friendly dogs.

WHAT RUBY IS NOT:
A dog park girl, or a daycare girl. She is not a little kid-girl.

WHAT RUBY IS:
A grown up middle-aged woman who knows what she wants and would like you to provide it. She has some allergy sensitivities to poultry in her diet (that may require medication and a particular food)
She likes it when dogs give her some distance but also is a big fan of a pack walk. She walks happily and waggily alongside her pals, but she may do better as a solo dog in the home.
She has wise eyes that look into your soul.
Ruby is loyal, beautiful, grateful beyond measure when her life matches her vibe, smart (this girl is a literal genius and knows many commands), and eager to please. She has a gazillion dollar smile.

HER DREAM LIFE
A person, or people, who can show her a calm, stable, fun life. She’d like a couch if you don’t mind, but would be happy with a dog bed. She’d like to go on daily walks and would like to fetch a ball in a fenced yard if you would kindly oblige. She just wants to be by her people’s side.
