Meet Felix!

This handsome Boxer is around 6–7 years old and came to us after being found running at large. He’s scared, but underneath those nerves is a sweet boy who needs time to feel safe.

Felix has shown positive interest in other dogs. Any introductions to resident dogs will need a meet and greet to see how they get along.

Boxer experience is required. We’re looking for a patient family who understands the breed and will give Felix time to settle in without rushing him.

At his age, Felix should be enjoying the comforts of a home and the company of people who love him. Let’s help him find that.

Adoptions are not first come, first served. We review prescreens to find the best match. If selected, a volunteer will reach out. Please do not call the shelter to apply—our small team has limited time, and we may not be able to respond to everyone.

The boxer is a medium to large sized dog breed known for its muscular build, distinctive square head, and energetic personality. Boxers are loyal, affectionate, and good natured companions, making them an ideal family pet. They are intelligent, playful, and love to be around people, making them excellent with children. Boxers require consistent training, plenty of exercise, and socialization to thrive. With their strong work ethic and protective instincts, boxers excel in various roles, including as service dogs, therapy dogs, and in dog sports.
