Sage is an energetic beautiful brindle boxer gal. She loves stealing toys and putting them in her bed for later. She will make you laugh as she does her crazy zoomies in the backyard. Sage gives the best kisses and will rest her head on your lap to remind you attention is needed. When the sun is out you will find Sage sunbathing. It’s one of her favorite places to be. She is still learning what a big world it is and can be a little timid to new noises.

Sage loves going for walks and she is a social butterfly that enjoys meeting new dogs, new people, even children! She is very dog friendly and would love to have a furry sibling to show her the ropes and give her confidence. Sage will do best in a home where her people are home more often than not.

- Step 2 – Preliminary Screening by Application Team which includes a Landlord Check (if applicable) and Vet Check
- Step 3 – Meeting with appropriate boxer(s)
- Step 4 – Home Visit
- Step 5 – Adoption Day

Adoption Requirements At a Glance.

* You must be 21 years of age.
* You must have a fenced in yard (exceptions can be made for certain dogs).
* All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information).
* Applicants with young children will be required to answer additional questions.
* Applicants that rent must provide landlord contact info. NCBR requires verbal landlord approval for all renters.
* We no not do adopt female boxers into homes with other large breed female dogs.
* We do not adopt out dogs as gifts.
* All pets must be INDOOR companions!
* NCBR does not adopt out of state, except northwest Nevada.

The boxer is a medium to large sized dog breed known for its muscular build, distinctive square head, and energetic personality. Boxers are loyal, affectionate, and good natured companions, making them an ideal family pet. They are intelligent, playful, and love to be around people, making them excellent with children. Boxers require consistent training, plenty of exercise, and socialization to thrive. With their strong work ethic and protective instincts, boxers excel in various roles, including as service dogs, therapy dogs, and in dog sports.
