Baxter is a sweet, playful 3 to 4 month-old Boxer/Hound mix weighing around 23 pounds. This little guy loves being wherever his people are and is always ready to join in on whatever you’re doing. He enjoys soaking up the sunshine, surprisingly loves bath time, and once he’s worn himself out, he’s happiest curled up next to you for some cuddles.

Baxter is a smart boy who is eager to learn, especially when treats are involved! He already knows “sit,” “shake,” and “go crate,” and he’s continuing to work on “lay down.” He is also making good progress with potty training and is currently learning to ring a bell when he needs to go outside. He’s catching on quickly!

Baxter is very dog-friendly and loves having other dogs around. He enjoys playing with his foster siblings and definitely takes cues from the dogs around him. Since he is still a puppy, he is learning that not every game needs to be played at full speed and that sometimes playtime needs to come to an end. A confident adult dog who can help teach him appropriate play manners would be a great companion for him.

Baxter has met a cat and was a little unsure at first, but his curiosity quickly kicked in. He would likely do best in a cat free home, or with a very patient adopter who is willing to continue working with him on appropriate boundaries and calm interactions around cats.

Baxter is an affectionate, fun-loving puppy who is eager to please and ready to find a family who will continue helping him learn, grow, and become the best dog he can be.
