**NOW RE-INTRODUCING THE NEW AND IMPROVED HEARTTHROB BOB!!** This big ol goofy guy is full of love, smiles, silly antics, and yes.. at times, just a little bit of drool :) Bob's favorite things include: treats, squeaky toys, and attention of any kind. He absolutely LOVES everyone he meets and we think he'd do best in a home where someone is present often and/or plans to bring him along on their daily adventures. Bob has a heart of gold, and is working really hard on his manners (and doing a great job at it!) He just gets so excited to see you that he occasionally forgets how big and strong he is. Bob would benefit greatly from consistent positive reinforcement based training, a stable routine, and plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He's a young dog with lots of energy and would do best with someone who is just as active as he is. Here's what one of Bob's favorite people has to say about him: "Bob is a big beautiful love bug that'll always be there for you. He'll squirm around on his back hunting for belly rubs in between learning new cues. Want to play ball? Bob really, REALLY loves ball. A lot. (Like, A Lot.) Another of his many talents is the sploot wiggle where he crawls on his belly like a gentle furry slug! His recall is great and his manners are top notch. He sometimes gets a little excited on his way outside and pulls the leash to make sure he doesn't miss it. Bob will be your loyal, loving lieutenant." I'm a RED pawprint, which means I need an experienced home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Energetic, exuberant, friendly, goofy guy with lots of personality!
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history with kids. Bob is a big boy who can be pretty jumpy when he's excited. Dog-savvy kids ages 8+ may be okay pending an initial meeting here at the shelter.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history with cats - will need proper introductions to ensure everyone gets along. Likely overwhelming to shy and/or senior kitties who prefer being left alone.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, but will need to be the right match! Recommending a social dog of similar size. Initial intros done here at WHS.
-Can do Apartment Living: No thanks! Bob is a big silly boy with lots of energy. He would do best in a home with a yard.
-Potty Trained: Yes
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, one private lesson
-Energy Level: Medium/high
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
