Kris is a Boxer X Black Mouth Cur Mix who currently weighs 44lbs., and her estimated Birthday is 4/22/2025.

After being the best mama to her babies, this sweet girl is finally ready for a home of her own. 💗

Kris is from BARC, where she landed on the euthanasia list with her newborn puppies simply because she was scared in the shelter environment.

Now her puppies are grown, Kris is spayed, heartworm negative, vaccinated, and officially ready for her happy ending.

Kris has the sweetest, most soulful personality. She can be shy at first and needs a little time to feel safe, but once she trusts you, she is incredibly loving and gentle. She walks nicely on leash and loves calm affection and reassurance.

She is dog friendly with proper introductions and is currently working on kennel training. While the kennel is not her favorite thing yet, she is learning and improving every day.

Kris would thrive with a patient adopter who understands that dogs coming from stressful situations sometimes need time to decompress and settle in.

She survived the shelter. She raised her babies. Now it’s finally Kris’s turn to be someone’s baby. 🐾💕

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
