DESCRIPTION
Meet Popeye! Popeye is a 1 year old petite Boxer mix, weighing only about 30lbs. Popeye was surrendered with another dog, after his previous owners could no longer care for him.
Upon arriving at ACS, Popeye was extremely overwhelmed and shut down. He had never really been out of his previous home before that moment, making the transition extra difficult for him. Despite how nervous he can be at times, we have seen a lot of improvement in his trust and confidence. While he is still settling in, we are hopeful he will blossom even faster in his new home.
Popeye would thrive in a home with low foot traffic. But he would also really benefit from an adopter who wanted to continue his training and confidence building. We would prefer Popeye go to a home with another dog as he is much more relaxed with a canine companion by his side.
If you are interested in adopting Popeye, come meet him today!
