DESCRIPTION
Meet Scout! Scout is a 2-month-old, 4.2 lbs, male Boston Terrier. Scout came to us with a mild upper respiratory infection and a heart murmur. Purdue's cardiology team discovered that he has severe subaortic stenosis (SAS). He is on atenolol and will need to be on it lifelong. He is expected to have severely shortened lifespan. On average, severe SAS puppies live about 3 years but sudden death is possible at any time. The cardiologist recommends a recheck in 4-6 months to evaluate status/progression.
The adoption fee is $200. This includes the neuter, microchip, wellness bloodwork, fecal flotation, deworming and all core vaccines through puppyhood (as long as you return to us for vaccines).
If you are interested in adopting Scout, please e-mail adoptions@thelovepetproject.org with "Scout" in the subject. Please also tell us about yourself and your household.
