Jake loves to walk, play, and chew softer silicon-like toys. He is great on a leash and in a car, is housebroken and doggy-door proficient. Jake's ideal home would include a yard, respectful children he could play with, and another canine companion. Jake has proven himself to be trustworthy in the home (no marking, chewing, or barking), and accepts being crated during absences.

Jake was attacked by a much larger dog in April 2026, and as a result had both a skull puncture and lost his right eye. He has adjusted well to that with the exception of being reactive on leash when he spies a large dog. He does not require extra care for his former injuries beyond approaching carefully from his blinded right side to avoid startling. Jake has a confirmed skin allergy to BEEF, so he needs foods and treats that do not contain it.
