Vinny - Boston Terrier Dog for Adoption in San Diego, California

Meet Vinny, a 6 year old male Boston Terrier, fostered and trained in Spokane, WA with Hope2K9 Foundation. Hope2K9 trains its adoptable dogs, then trains their adopters, and finally - provides lifetime behavior support for each dog.

Vinny is a super sweet boy who was abandoned at a shelter in California, then scooped up by our partner rescue, Boston Buddies. After covering all of his medical care, and making sure Vinny was healthy for placement, Boston Buddies reached out to have our team take on Vinny, so he could receive training and open up more opportunities for his adoption placement.

A very good boy in his crate, Vinny is also house broken and loves every human he meets. Despite being a more mellow age, Vinny is always down for a hardcore game of tug, or a little walk around the neighborhood.

While this sweet buddy is super people confident, he's very insecure and defensive around dogs if he's not advocated for, so Vinny is looking for a home without other dogs. Vinny is going through a complete and fancy board and train program to prepare him for his adopters, and this has resolved his leash reactivity as well as begun his off leash reliability.
