Tallulah came to us from some truly horrible circumstances, but that did not dim her light at all. She is a ball of happiness, wiggles and kisses. Please READ this entire, lengthy post if you are interested. Because we know looking at that sweet, smooshy face will melt anyone’s heart!
Getting to know this little alien has been interesting. She has shown us that she really wants nothing more than to be by someone’s side, and that someone must enjoy her grooming them constantly. Sooo many kisses and it seems that she has the largest tongue for such a small dog! The downside of her giving so many kisses, is that her other obsession is eating poop. Yup, poop. Her poop, her’s friend’s poop. Fresh poop, frozen poop. While it is frustrating managing this bad habit, we do think she learned this behavior from being starved and stuck in a kennel, so some sympathy while she unlearns it is a must. This also goes hand in hand with her not being fully potty trained - we can say she is doing better with consistent potty breaks, but she still does have an accident here and there.
Tallulah loves to go for rides and walks, and to snuggle up snoring and tooting on your lap. She would LOVE a home with kids. She is so sweet and absolutely loves when kids ogle over her. She also is wonderful with cats. It’s hard to say she isn’t good with other dogs, because she is fostering with many dogs. But getting her used to other dogs has taken time, she is not open to making doggy friends at first. She has settled enough that she no longer randomly lunges at the dogs in her home, however another of her quirks is resource guarding anything that smells good to her. This would need constant management and supervision.
